Monarch Academy Annapolis PTA

MAA PTA: Where caring, critical-thinking, and
commitment guide our culture!

The Monarch Academy Annapolis PTA strives to create a positive community for students, parents, and teachers. Our mission is to connect the home, school, & community together while enriching each child’s learning experience. We do this by supporting and embracing our school for its goal to highlight arts, diversity, and inclusion.

We accomplish these goals by promoting parental and family participation and involvement, providing funding and volunteer support for academic and enrichment activities, creating a strong school community through educational programs and family involvement events, and supporting our teachers and staff at Monarch Academy Annapolis.

Unconscious Bias Virtual Session

You are invited to participate in a large group virtual session on unconscious bias. We will have an opportunity to raise awareness, improve understanding, and build new skills.

Unconscious bias often shows up in subtle ways.  We will learn what unconscious bias is, why it matters, and what our individual and collective responsibilities are to move forward with intention and purpose to promote an inclusive environment for our children and each other.

Last week, a family in our school recently experienced a fire and lost everything.  We have set up a fund for donations to support.   If you would like to donate to support this family, here is a link to gather funds.  In the dropdown menu, select MAA Family Fire Support.  The Children’s Guild is collecting the funds and Mrs. Johnson is working with the family to identify their needs.   We appreciate your support. https://childrensguildalliance.salsalabs.org/CaringConnections/index.html
